Ronald W. Cavill, CFP
Ronald Cavill has been a leader in the financial advisory field since 1969. His experience has ranged from the creation of three local investment advisory firms to upper management for one of the country's largest financial service companies. Mr. Cavill's career has focused on retirement and post-retirement planning issues including the design and administration of employee benefit plans and private asset management for individuals and institutions. He served as an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University from 1984-1995.
Mr. Cavill is a Certified Financial Planner and a Registered Health Underwriter and a member of the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners and the International Association for Financial Planning. He is also listed as a member of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Council on the Aging, Inc. from 1991-1999 and the Maryland Foundation Planned Giving Council since 1989, he is a founding advisory board member of Tax Management's Financial Planning Service and the founding Chair of the National Institute of Financial Issues and Services for Elders. Mr. Cavill served as treasurer of both the National Council on the Aging from 1995-1999 and the Science & Public Policy Institute from 1997-2000.
Mr. Cavill has authored articles for BNA Tax Management, Networks and Perspective Magazine. Additionally, he has been interviewed by Modern Maturity, Financial Planning Magazine, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Investment Advisor, Money Magazine and Woman's Day regarding financial issues affecting aging. He has also been a frequent guest on CNN "Early Prime" and has appeared on CBS "Evening News with Dan Rather."
