Lee Kaplowitz, MSW, RFG, CSA, CLTC
Lee Kaplowitz is a financial professional with over 25 years of experience. He holds a Masters of Social Work degree in Gerontology, holds designations as a Registered Financial Gerontologist (RFG) from the American Institute of Financial Gerontology, as a Certified Long Term Care Specialist from the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification, Inc., and is a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Mr. Kaplowitz currently serves on the Advisory Council for the City of Los Angeles Department on Aging as Vice Chair of the Legislative sub-committee. He was the Administrator of a national social services program to 300,000 retired labor union members, and co-founded one of the first publicly funded senior centers in New York City.
Focusing on retirement and estate related issues, Mr. Kaplowitz works with both individuals and small business owners, on customized plans, products, and services, including all qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. He specializes in the area of Long Term Care, focusing on the interaction of the financial and emotional issues during retirement.
Mr. Kaplowitz is a regular speaker for the Alzheimer’s Association. He attended briefings on senior citizen issues at the White House and the AFL-CIO in Washington DC, and has worked with the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Aging Sub-Committee on Pensions and Retirement. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the American Society on Aging, and the West Los Angeles Association of Life Underwriters.
