John L. McKeever, III, CLU, ChFC, RFG
John McKeever is the Executive Vice President of Delaware Valley Financial Group, Inc., King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, where he focuses on investment strategies, insurance needs, and financial counseling, working with both individuals and businesses.
Mr. McKeever graduated from Villanova University in 1967 with a B.S. in Economics and a major in insurance. In 1973, he completed the Chartered Life Underwriter program and received his professional CLU designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania; in 1985, received the Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College. He also holds certificates in Advanced Personal Tax Planning and Advanced Estate Planning, and holds the Registered Financial Gerontology (RFG) designation awarded by the American Institute of Financial Gerontology. He holds securities and life insurance licenses in over fifteen states and the District of Columbia.
He is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and is the Chapter's past Chairman for Continuing Education. He is also a member and past President of the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council. Additionally, he is a Board member and consultant to the Mental Health Risk Retention Group which is a captive insurance company domiciled in Vermont, and a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Allegheny Integrated Health Group/Allegheny University Hospitals.
Mr. McKeever has spoken before numerous groups on the topics of Personal Financial Planning and Deferred Compensation, and has appeared in national media. He did a short series entitled "The Financial Planner" for Public Broadcasting (PBS) that aired nationally throughout the country, and more recently participated in a panel discussion and article published in the Wall Street Journal (2002). Active in community affairs, Mr. McKeever a founder and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Committee to Benefit the Children benefiting St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, PA.
