Barbara Prasch, CIRS-A

Barbara Prasch is a senior program specialist with the Area Agency on Aging for the Atlanta Region, a Division of the Atlanta Regional Commission, where her responsibilities include resource and website development. She has widespread experience in the field of aging services having worked as an executive director, marketing director, business administrator, advocate, consultant and trainer.

Barbara's background experience also extends beyond the field of aging. Following a career as a Professional Tennis Instructor, she owned her own financial software company for seven years taking it from a $100,000 per-year company to a successful firm with over $2,000,000 of revenue.

A resident of Georgia and Florida, Barbara earned her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Duke University, and her Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Georgia State University. She is a member of the Georgia Gerontology Society, Southern Gerontological Society, Florida Society of Aging Professionals, and a previous Board Member of the Georgia Parkinson's Association.
