Cheryl Schramm, MSW
Cheryll Schramm is Director of the Area Agency on Aging for the Atlanta Region, a Division of the Atlanta Regional Commission. She has served in this capacity for the past 24 years and is known in Georgia and throughout the country for developing innovative programs to serve older adults and their families.
Her leadership role in Georgia includes her appointment to the Georgia Council on Aging by the Lt. Governor for the past 18 years. She currently serves on numerous advisory boards including the Thanks and Mom Fund. In 1995, Georgia's Governor appointed her as a Delegate to the White House Conference on Aging.
Nationally, Ms. Schramm has been requested to serve on the boards of the American Society on Aging, the National Benevolent Association, the Technical Advisory Group for the Administration on Aging and the "Making the Link" Advisory Committee of the National Association on Aging. Ms. Schramm is a former President of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging and has testified before Congress on critical aging issues. She is often sought out to make presentations to share her innovative approaches and has received multiple awards for her leadership role in the aging network.
